Little Replacements Empty Little Replacements

Post by Codum Fri Jul 02, 2010 8:43 pm

Had several annoyances I wanted to fix for my aging wagon. Got a dirty laundry list of things that don't work but these were the things I wanted most.

Salvaged window buttons, antenna and motor, sunroof motor and cabin light

They all came off a '93 model while my volvo is an '86 so wiring was sortof a trick.

Got the cabin light after just trying different wiring combination. Here's the old one next to the new one.

Also got the window buttons easily enough since the hook-ups were the same

The antenna and sunroof motors didn't work out though since the wiring wasn't all there.

For teh sunroof motor all of it (ie. positive/negative) including the switch on the dash

The antennae just didn't match up at all since I pulled it off a sedan.

Also since my side mirrors are motor less I'd love to use those controls for something clever
