Sacramento Chapter: March 14, 2008- Tech Session & Lunch

Post by volvie! on Fri Feb 27, 2009 8:10 am

Hi Everyone,

We are excited to announce our first event of 2009!

What:
Tech Session for 1975+ RWD and FWD Volvos, followed by lunch

When:
Saturday, March 14, 2009
10:00A

Where:
Volvo Independent Service
3310 Monier Circle, Unit #1
Rancho Cordova, CA 95742
916-631-4118

Copy and Paste from Event Flyer:
Sacramento area VCOA member, Mark Baldwin is pleased to bring you this event and knows this business very well, as a long-time Volvo owner and enthusiast.

Peter Mausolf will handle questions on all fronts regarding repair and maintenance issues for Volvo cars built from 1975 forward. This includes the 200, 700 and 900 rear wheel drive series plus all manner of front wheel drive Volvos from 1993 forward.

Volvo Independent Service was established in 1994. Peter Mausolff purchased the business in 2004 after being in the automotive service industry since 1973. Peter's most recent prior experience included Shop Foreman of San Francisco BMW and Manager of Auto Analyst of San Francisco. Volvo Independent Repair Service specializes in all phases of Volvo service from scheduled maintenance, safety checks, pre-purchase inspections, computer diagnostics, transmission, and engine repairs.

From HWY 50, take Sunrise Blvd. south and turn left (east) onto Monier Circle. Volvo Independent Service is located on the right side and is visible from the street.

Peter is all set for us to be there on 3-14-2009 at 10:00am.
Please develop a list of questions for Peter. Mark or I can also forward them to him before the event. It can help him to prepare. When the questions dwindle down at noon to 1:00 PM we will select a place to meet for lunch.

If you have any questions, or wish to RSVP, please click on my username to the left.

Hope to see you there!

Take care,
volvie!

Awesome! I wish I could make this... Unfortunately, due to some very unfortunate recent events, I will not have a car I can make it up there in... Sad

Bummer!
What happened (I've been spending a lot of time working on our website, so I'm a bit out of the loop)?

I haven't really announced it anywhere yet... I looped my RX7 and backed into a wall on the freeway Monday on the way to work. The heavy rain got the better of me despite my efforts to be cautious. I'll probably post a thread about it when I get pictures.

It temporarily leaves me without a car, but I have something awesome in the works... so I will keep everyone updated.

I'm hanging in there. I am in a lot of pain since the seat broke in the impact and my back slammed into my amp that I have mounted back there, and I have a lot of neck pain as well. Fortunately I didn't hit anyone else. Unfortunately, I did not have collision coverage with my insurance as I was led to believe, so it's all a loss...

I certainly wish you a speedy recovery!
Have you been to the doctor to make sure everything is okay?
Please don't neglect your health!

I'm studying to be a physical therapist, so I'll send you a PM.

I'm sorry to hear about your car as well.

Take care,
Elizabeth
