The Davis Car Show and Swap Meet is this Sunday!

Followed by the Thunderhill Track Day on Monday!
(Registrations are still being accepted for track day and will also be accepted on the day of the event).

Davis Car Show & Swap Meet:

Where:
Central Park
Davis, CA 95616

When:
Sunday, April 26, 2009
The event officially starts at 9:00A.
If you plan to show your car and/or sell in the swap area, arrive between 7:00A and 8:30A.

Entry fee is $10.00 for VCOA members.
$15.00 for non-members.

After the event, which usually wraps around 2 - 3P, there will be an informal dyno session at Evil Genius Racing with John Pagel.

The cost is $200.00 for the day, with lunch included. The cost is the same for club members and non-members.

Should have posted this sooner, been busy lately. I suppose Ikea would be a good place to meet, and I want to be in Davis by 8:30, so I'll be at Ikea by 6:30ish to leave by around 7:15 or so. If you want to meet up there, I'll see you then!

Meeting at Ikea... What a cliche! Hopefully the 122 can make its first and last appearance. And Lan, you will still have competition for the most "beaterific" if I do end up making it out.

I can't believe I'm flaking, but this happens to be a very bad time for me

Lurked around for a bit, saw a few nice cars... Hit the dyno deal afterwards too. Mostly wanted to talk with the owner for a few but he was pretty busy. Looks like you guys know how to set up a decent little show. Maybe next year the car will be in better shape, worthy of showing off a bit more.

Yeah, it was an awesome time as usual. The dyno session was pretty cool, too. Dragged out a few non-Volvo friends. I'll post my pictures sometime tomorrow, I'm exhausted.

Don't worry about it, dude, it happens. Davis will happen again next year, and in the meantime there'll be the Carlsen show on August 8th, which is always a good time.
